John serves as our Commercial Director, bringing a wealth of expertise from over 18 years of high-voltage (HV) experience. As a Senior Authorised Person qualified at both Distribution and Transmission voltage levels,
John has demonstrated exceptional leadership and technical acumen in the field.
His extensive career encompasses a broad range of engineering sectors, including working with Distribution Network Operators (DNOs), delivering innovative temporary power solutions, and driving advancements in renewable energy projects.
His ability to 'think outside the box' and industry insight make him a vital asset in shaping the company's commercial success and supporting sustainable energy initiatives.

Joe is our Operations Director, a seasoned professional with over 20 years of high-voltage (HV) experience and an exceptional track record in the industry. As a Senior Authorised Person at both Distribution and Transmission voltage levels, Joe brings a deep understanding of operational excellence and technical precision.
He holds a BEng (Hons) in Engineering Management and has a demonstrated history of successfully managing complex frameworks and contracts worth several million pounds. His expertise spans all facets of operational delivery, ensuring projects are executed with precision, efficiency, and a commitment to the highest standards.

Geanna is our Business Development Director, bringing 16 years of experience in the construction industry, with a strong foundation as a qualified Quantity Surveyor. She transitioned into bid management, where her expertise in cost analysis, project delivery, and strategic planning has enabled her to successfully secure contracts with major organisations such as Scottish Power, the National Trust, and the City of Edinburgh Council. Geanna has been instrumental in managing bids and projects ranging from £500,000 to £10 million across a variety of sectors.
At SFTS, Geanna leads business development, focusing on securing contracts and expanding our presence in the high-voltage and energy sectors.
Her experience and strategic approach are instrumental in strengthening client relationships and driving sustainable success for the company.

Jonny is our Technical Director. With over 20 years’ dedicated service in the electrical supply industry, Jonny brings a wealth of experience and technical expertise to the SFTS team. Holding a Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering and with vast experience as a DNO Senior Authorised Person (up to 33 kV), Jonny is an authority on complex network infrastructure.
Jonny’s career has seen him excel in high-stakes senior managerial roles—overseeing KPIs, budgets, tendering processes, and operational delivery. He has led rigorous audits of safe systems of work and continually refines electrical and mechanical safety rules to meet, and exceed, industry standards.
His blend of hands‑on technical know‑how and strategic leadership ensures SFTS remains at the forefront of high-voltage safety, compliance, and performance.
